Kenneth G Castro declared receiving ongoing funding from USAID to serve as Senior TB Scientific Advisor (80% level of effort), from the National Institutes of Health to serve as Associate Director Emory-Georgia TB Research Advancement Center (10% level of effort), and from the US Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, to serve as Coordinator of the Emory Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program (10% level of effort).

Julia Critchley declared that her research unit was receiving the following funding for research grants relating to TB and diabetes: a) £232 135 from the National Institutes of Health b) £205 530 from the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership c) approximately US$ 500 000 from the Qatari Foundation. She also declared receiving approximately US$ 3350 to present on TB and diabetes at key stakeholder meetings from the International Congress of Endocrinology and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She further declared that she had been an unpaid Charity trustee at The Union charity until April 2021.

Henry M. Blumberg declared that his employer, Emory University has received an undisclosed amount of funding for research grants related to tuberculosis from the National Institutes of Health in 2022.

Matthew Magee declared a total of $859 412 awarded by the US National Institutes of Health to Emory University relating to research on the relationship between TB and diabetes through grants R21AI156161 and R01AI153152, in addition to an undisclosed amount of funding received for grant R03AI133172.

Peijui Huangfu declared that her research unit was receiving the following funding for research grants relating to TB and diabetes: a) £232 135 from the National Institutes of Health b) £205 530 from the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership c) approximately US$ 500 000 from the Qatari Foundation, in line with the declaration made by Julia Critchley

Participants of the stakeholder consultation

Gabriella Ferlazzo Natoli of Médecins sans Frontières declared her work as technical advisor to the MSF Access Campaign as well as with other organizations, such as the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation to promote access to TB care to be an interest. She further declared work by MSF Access Campaign on access to Insulin. She also declared research for which she was a co-investigator in the EndTB and EndTB-Q trials, funded by UNITAID and for which has she received no salary or income.

Anil Kapur declared his position as Chairman of the Board (Honorarium) of the World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) for which he has received €18 000. He also declared that WDF paid towards his travel costs for the consultation. He further declared that he has 27 000 shares in Novo Nordisk. He also stated that he has promoted the implementation of the collaborative framework on Tuberculosis and diabetes at multiple forums.

Rosa Maria Herrera Torres declared her position since August 2023 as a volunteer, TB survivor and member of the Key Vulnerable Populations Delegation at the Stop TB Partnership where she advocates that people living with diabetes should be considered as a vulnerable population. She also stated that she is a member of the Global Tuberculosis Advisory Board where she advocates for proper inclusion of people with diabetes in tuberculosis clinical trials. She further declared that she receives approximately US$ 1000 per year to attend one annual meeting and one tuberculosis related international conference plus a compensation of US$ 150 per month.
